WHAT IS THE ROTARY LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE?

RLI is a grassroots training program that will significantly expand Rotary knowledge and enhance leadership skills that will benefit participants in their personal, professional and Rotary lives.

WHY DO WE NEED IT?

Each year brings the need for new leadership for our clubs.  Our goal is to develop future leaders to build stronger and more vibrant clubs.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Members who have a strong interest in Rotary and are ready to be exposed to the larger world of Rotary. The course will rejuvenated tenured members, and engage and educate newer members.

WHY SHOULD ROTARIANS ATTEND?

  • This will be an opportunity to interact with other leaders throughout the Rotary district
  • The leadership training will benefit you in your profession and personal life
  • It will significantly expand your knowledge of the Rotary world
  • Your club will benefit greatly from you being there
  • It’s fun
  • It is motivating
  • It is quality training available locally: another benefit of Rotary membership

HOW DOES PART ONE PROVIDE A FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE  LEADERS?

  • By exposing them to characteristics of leadership, motivational techniques and leadership styles
  • By understanding the purpose and structure of Rotary
  • By understanding how to encourage members to have fun, make friends and effectively serve
  • By learning about how we do good in our communities and the world through our Foundation
  • By learning how Vocational Service and ethics give us an opportunity to serve on the highest levels
  • And by utilizing all the above to meet the needs of our communities and the world through well thought out projects.

HOW IS THIS STRUCTURED?

There are three parts to this curriculum. Participants must complete each course in order.  We will be offering all three parts throughout the year.  Certified trainers will hold sessions throughout our district.   Cost varies by area depending on the venue selected, and meal arrangements.  Each session will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
