Global Grant Opportunities:
Sub-Saharan Africa

Below you will find a lot more information about the Global Grant opportunities we presented in the November Newsletter.  Those who get involved in a Global Grant will find it very rewarding to be helping very challenged people in other parts of the world.  A club can either be a financial partner where funds are donated only, or the club can be the International Partner if there is not one already committed.  An International Partner has much more involvement.

Our District has a Directed Grant to support District 5190 led projects in Sub-Saharan Africa worth $185,000 and portions can be used to support those projects. Each of these, with the exception of the Senegal project, needs a club to serve as International Sponsor.

If a club chooses to contribute funds to a project whether a Financial Partner or an International Partner, the District will 100% match their contribution and the District contribution will be matched by the Rotary Foundation (TRF) at 80%.

If you are interested in any of these projects, talk with your club leadership to get a teamworking on the process. All the blue text below is a clickable link to the detailed information about the project.

PLEASE NOTE: clubs must perform their own due diligence for the project(s) of their choosing.
