District Governor Nomination Applications for Governor Year 2021-2022

District 5190 is now soliciting nominations for District Governor 2021-2022

 

District Governor Tina Spencer-Mulhern has established the deadline of November 21, 2018 for the receipt of completed applications for District Governor Nominee to serve as District Governor in 2021-2022.

The selection process is covered in the District 5190 Policy Article 9 beginning on page 112 of our current District directory, or on the District website. The duties and qualification for District Governor are covered in the Rotary International 2016 Manual of Procedure, Article 16.

Each club may suggest one of its own members as a candidate for governor-nominee. However, the Nominating Committee for Governor shall not be limited in its selection to those names submitted by Clubs in the District. The Committee shall nominate the best-qualified Rotarian who is available to serve as Governor.

Emailed applications received prior to the deadline will be accepted, but the Chair must receive a “wet signature” copy of the application prior to the time of the interviews.

The interviews will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the office of Homegate Realty of Nevada, 1955 Baring Boulevard, Sparks, NV 89434.
 
To provide information and answer questions about serving as a District Governor, we have scheduled two DG Information sessions prior to the deadline for application:
 
10:35 a.m. on September 8, 2018 as part of the Avenues of Service at Truckee Meadows Community College, Reno, Nevada
12 noon on October 20, 2018 after the District Leadership Meeting, Parasol Building, Incline Village, Nevada.
The DG Information sessions are open to any Rotarian who would like more information on the requirements and expectations of serving Rotary as a District Governor.
