TRF: Rotary Peace Fellowships

Our district has the opportunity of participating in one of the major educational and peace priorities of The Rotary Foundation by nominating candidates for the prestigious Rotary Peace Fellowship program. Clubs and districts may submit as many applicants as they deem qualified for competition in the worldwide annual selection process.
Clubs should start looking for qualified candidates now (January - May) and submit qualified, completed applications to our District Peace Fellows Chair by May 15th. Application materials may be sent via email, however, transcripts must be official paper copies.
This program funds either a master's degree or professional development certificate at one of the six Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution at seven universities worldwide. Up to 60 Fellowships for master's degree study and up to 50 Fellowships for professional development are offered annually. A candidate may apply for both programs with one application.
Fellowship funding covers: tuition and fees, room and board, round trip transportation and internship (master's degree) or field study expenses (professional development certificate).
Applicants for the Rotary World Peace Fellowship should have:
- A commitment to international understanding and peace, demonstrated through their professional and academic achievements and personal and community service activities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field with strong grades at the time of application
- Minimum three years' combined paid or unpaid full-time relevant work experience for the master's degree program
- Minimum five year's relevant work experience with current full-time employment in a mid-to-upper-level position for the certificate program
- Proficiency in second language for the master's program or proficiency in English for the certificate program
- Excellent leadership skills

Applicants must apply to their districts by 31 May. Districts need to submit endorsed applications to The Rotary Foundation by 1 July.
